“According to the latest Symantec report, there is more malicious computer activity in the US than in any other country, with sophisticated hackers from across the world coming together in the form of highly efficient crime rings.

In its Internet Security Threat Report, Symantec researchers have found that about a third of all computer attacks worldwide in the second half of 2006 originated from machines in the US. This makes the US the most vulnerable place for threats such as spam, phishing, and malicious code, easily surpassing runners-up China, which generates 10 percent of attacks, as also Germany that generates 7 percent.”
