Jane Magazine and Site to Close…

In a terse announcement today, Conde Nast Publications president and CEO Charles Townsend said twenty-something women’s magazine Jane will shut down. The August issue will be its last.
The Web site will also cease operations. “This was a very difficult decision for us,” said Townsend in a statement. “We worked diligently to make Jane a success. However, we have come to believe that the magazine and website will not fulfill our long-term business expectations.”
Another one bites the dust….
