Our mission is to champion wildly-talented artists and to keep mass-produced merchandise and big-box retailers from overwhelming our world. Trunkt was created by entrepreneurs Ayesha Ahmad and Dev Tandon.
Frustrated by the high cost of reaching retail and wholesale customers for Ayesha’s nascent textile business, they created a series of trunk shows called Trunkt and banded together with a few fellow design entrepreneurs.
The shows were held around New York City and the Hamptons and quickly attracted avid shoppers, retail buyers and fashion editors. The wild success of the Trunkt shows and subsequent pop-up boutiques led to the creation of trunkt.org.”
