Tunkhannock studio has technique to revive darkroom photography

TUNKHANNOCK — Photographer John DiGiorgio thought he would never be able to reproduce a 20-year-old black-and-white picture of Ellis Island because he lost the negatives.

“Bob Lizza was able to reproduce the pictures exactly what was done in a darkroom,” said DiGiorgio, who has worked with Lizza for about eight months.
Using recently acquired scanners and photographic paper used 10 years ago, as well as the latest computer software, Lizza Studios is able to create prints that replicate the quality of darkroom pictures, said Bob Lizza, studio owner.”
