Opening of Trump hotel delayed
By Megan • Dec 4th, 2007 • Category: News for Creatives (archives)Chicago Sun Times reports:
“Fire inspectors are delaying Monday’s opening of the Trump International Hotel & Tower.
The Chicago Fire Department says the riverfront hotel needs to install fire-safety elements in elevators, test fire alarms and file an emergency plan.
Donald Trump Junior, the son of real estate mogul Donald Trump, says the fire-safety systems are ready and awaiting inspection.
Once the proper permits are issued three floors of the hotel can open.
The rest of the hotel is expected to open this spring.
The entire 92-story mixed-used tower is scheduled to be completed in April 2009.”
