“With the inaugural New York Photo Festival just over two months away, organizers are setting expectations high. The show is scheduled for May 14 to 18 and will take place in several exhibition spaces in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn.
At a curtain-raising press conference Monday, festival organizers labeled their event “the first international photo festival in the United States” and compared it to esteemed European events like Rencontres d’Arles and Visa pour l’Image. Press materials predict the event will draw 100,000 visitors, a high number for a five-day photo festival.”
