VLANY.org, Holiday Card Website

Overview: Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of NY, a not-for-profit, needed a streamlined, easy to manage, online catalogĀ where visitors could license images for their holiday cards. The site had to “run itself” being both a retail service and a content management tool.
Goals: To build this site within an allocated budget, using a current look and feel that matched related marketing materials.
Tasks: Building an easy to navigate HTML website, adding an intelligent management tool for their staff, one where VLA wouldn’t have to rely on programmers for updates, any staff member can run the site. We built a simple machine that satisfies two needs at once;
1. a simple interface where visitors can browse and purchase the images for their cards
2. a web-based tool where the staff can manage the entire process from uploading images through to shipping the finished cards.
Results: VLANY.org Holiday Card Program worked as planned, adding efficiency and a new interface to order the holiday cards.
