Indy Makes It Happen!
By Jason Moriber • Apr 27th, 2009 • Category: IndianaCity is PhenomenalThere is a new slogan for the Indiana Convention Center which includes the Lucas Oil Stadium: “Raising The Game.” I’ve assumed that since the Convention Center is part of the stadium (and vice versa) the PR folks who created the phrase needed to include some sort of “game” analogy. Unfortunatelty there is some bad press re the org than owns the stadium (Capital Improvement Board or CIB), they are running a deficit and are seeking help from the local sports teams, who have been defiant in response. To quote the Colts prez “It’s been said we have no skin in the game…” (quote from Indychannel.com). No skin in the game, raising the game, I think we should skip the “game” altogether.
Let’s focus on the great determination and fortitude of Hoosiers, the get-r-done attitude found throughout Indiana. I’m suggesting a new slogan: “Indy Makes It Happen!”
